This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
Training and assessment for this unit is competency based. Training and assessment may include but is not limited to practical class sessions, written work and emergency scenarios.
The theory component of this program can be completed externally. It will be necessary to attend a one to three hours (depending on previous experience) practical training and assessment to finalise this course.

There are no entry requirements for this program; however it is recommended that students be over 14 years of age and have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course.

Successful completeion of this course will enable the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID001 Provide CPR
